Simple celebration was conducted by SUKELCO in line with its anniversary last November 4 with the theme, “Determined in Sustaining the Commitment towards Rural Development”.
It started with a Eucharistic Celebration officiated by Rev. Fr. Adrian Francisco, DCC.
Program proper officially followed by recognizing the significant contribution of every men and women of the cooperative specifically the Board of Directors, Management, Employees and beloved Member-Consumer-Owners.
Solidarity messages were also given by the President of the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Presly C. De Jesus, RECOBODA Party list Representative, Godofredo N. Guya, and live virtual message via zoom from the Deputy Administrator, Legal Services of the National Electrification Administration, Atty. Rossan Rosero Lee on behalf of the new NEA Administrator, Emmanuel P. Juaneza.
The celebration highlighted the awarding of retirees and loyalty of awards to SUKELCO employees who have served the cooperative for 10, 15, 25 and 30 years.
The management also paid tribute to the original incorporators of SUKELCO as well as to our Warriors of Light, our dear linemen, for working around the clock to keep the power going and ensure that we keep our lives moving.
Awarding of the winners of Liwanag Pangkabuhayan, A vegetable Garden Competition participated in by Barangay Power Association was also conducted.
“46 years is such a triumphant VICTORY! But the challenges continue! We will still encounter series of battles and threats, but I believe, with our strong commitment and professionalism, together with our empowered member-consumer-owners, we can surely rose and certainly become an emblem of transformation towards a continuing progress and development.” GM Claudia Pondales said on her closing remarks.
The Board and Management finally recognized the efforts of employees and MCOs for being part of the SUKELCO history.
