A total of 16 parolees and probationers received livelihood assistance under the Department of Labor and Employment’s Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) during the distribution activity held earlier today, May 11, 2026, at the MCO Center, SUKELCO Headquarters in Kalandagan, Tacurong City.
The livelihood projects aim to provide beneficiaries with sustainable income opportunities and support their reintegration into the community through productive employment and entrepreneurship initiatives. The assistance covered various livelihood ventures including bakery, beauty services, carinderia, cellphone repair, coffee processing, fishing, fish vending, kakanin and street food production, rice farming, snack house operations, vegetable farming and welding services.
SUKELCO, serving as the accredited co-partner, facilitated the implementation and release of the livelihood assistance to the beneficiaries.
The activity formally opened with a welcome message from Wilfredo M. Evangelista, PhD, OIC- General Manager, who underscored the importance of collaboration reflecting SUKELCO’s commitment as “Your Companion in Life’s Perfect Moments.”
Meanwhile, Mechelle O. Ignacio, DOLE Chief Administrative Officer of the Sultan Kudarat Field Office, presented the rationale of the DILP, highlighting the program’s objective of promoting inclusive and sustainable livelihood opportunities for vulnerable and marginalized sectors.
An inspirational message was delivered by Raymond Fel F. Sajor, DOLE OIC- Regional Director, who encouraged the beneficiaries to maximize the assistance provided to improve their lives and become productive members of the community.
Representatives from the Department of Justice – Parole and Probation Administration (DOJ-PPA) also expressed their support and appreciation for the initiative. Messages were delivered by Chief Probation and Parole Officers of Tacurong City and Isulan namely Ronald L. Bautista and Michael Joseph S. Alonto respectively.
The program concluded with closing remarks from Francisco L. Torres, Jr., MBA, ISD Manager, who thanked the partner agencies and beneficiaries for their participation and continued commitment to community development.
