A total of 114 beneficiaries can now enjoy free electricity following the successful mass energization ceremony of seven (7) sitios under the Sitio Electrification Program (SEP) held earlier today, February 19, 2026, at Barangay Saliao, Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat.
The energization covered the following areas:
1. Purok Pag-ibig 1, Sagasa
2. Purok 1 Extension, Kangkong
3. Purok Masinadyahon, Saliao
4. Purok Bannawag, Villamor
5. Purok Aceres, Saliao
6. Purok Islam, Daladap
7. Purok Maabianon, Daladap
Also present to show support was Hon. Charles Frederic R. Ploteña, Municipal Mayor of Esperanza, who expressed his gratitude for the continued implementation of electrification initiatives that benefit local constituents of the municipality.
Leading the ceremony was Wilfredo M. Evangelista, PhD, OIC-General Manager, together with Dir. Kristine Mae Ploteña Saliao, Director of the Esperanza District, and Engr. Leo I. Fontanilla, REE, OIC–Area 2 Services Department Manager, along with barangay officials of the covered areas.
The energization marks another milestone in the ongoing efforts to expand power access in remote communities, ensuring that more families in Esperanza can now experience the social and economic benefits of electricity.
The Sitio Electrification Program (SEP), funded by the National Electrification Administration (NEA), aims to bring reliable and accessible electricity to far-flung and underserved communities, uplifting living conditions and improving the economic lives of the beneficiaries.
