Tacurong City – The City Government of Tacurong marked Bonifacio Day with a moving wreath-laying ceremony, honoring Andres Bonifacio, the national hero and founder of the Katipunan. It was attended by local government officials, community leaders, different civic organizations and SUKELCO Employees headed by ISD Manager, Francisco L. Torres, Jr. to pay tribute to Bonifacio’s enduring legacy in the struggle for Philippine independence.
The event began with a solemn flag-raising ceremony followed by the wreath-laying at the Jose Rizal Monument. Hon. Geronimo Arzagon, City Councilor, representing the Hon. Mayor Joseph George L. Lechonsito, together with Vice Mayor Hon. Lina O. Montilla, led the ceremonial offering of flowers, symbolizing respect and gratitude for Bonifacio’s courage and sacrifice.
The wreath-laying ceremony was a reminder of the unity and national pride that Bonifacio’s actions continue to inspire, with citizens of all ages coming together to honor his memory.
