The Sultan Kudarat Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SUKELCO) conducted a coordination meeting with its pole lessees to discuss the implementation of the Standard Joint Pole Agreement (SJPA), in alignment with policies set forth by National Electrification Administration.
Held at the SUKELCO Main Office, it was attended by 30 participants from owners and representatives from telecommunications companies, cable operators, and other lessees who utilize SUKELCO’s pole infrastructure.
The agenda of the meeting focused on the Legal, Technical and Financial features of the contract presented by Atty. Arriane Joy Y. Insular, Engr. Rexon T. Lemana and Wiliam Bermejo respectively.
The gathering aimed to align all stakeholders on the updated terms and conditions of the SJPA, focusing on pole attachment protocols, safety compliance, maintenance responsibilities and fee structures.
OIC-GM, Wilfredo M. Evangelista PhD, emphasized the importance of collaboration.
“This agreement ensures that all parties shared accountability in maintaining safe and efficient infrastructure including our financial obligation with the joint venture” he noted.
Participants actively engaged in the open forum, raising concerns, clarifying provisions, and expressing support for a more standardized and transparent system.
The initiative is part of SUKELCO’s ongoing efforts in creating SJPA Enforcement Task Force to strengthen partnerships and ensure the reliability and safety of its distribution lines and facilities.
