The Sultan Kudarat Electric Cooperative, Inc. (SUKELCO) successfully conducted its Barangay Power Association Congress earlier today, April 8, 2025 participated by a total of 94 attendees from BAPA officers and members of Tacurong, Lambayong and President Quirino.
The event held at the MCO Center, Headquarters, Kalandagan, Tacurong City aimed to
strengthen partnership, empower BAPA leaders, provide updates and policy directions,
and ensure open dialogue between the cooperative and the member-consumer-owners (MCOs) in addressing issues and concerns regarding SUKELCO operation.
The event was graced by OIC General Manager, Wilfredo M. Evangelista, PhD who acknowledged the roles of BAPA in sustaining economic and rural development. ISD Manager, Francisco L. Torres, Jr. presented Institutional updates, highlighting the participation of BAPA in the upcoming Annual General Membership Assembly of the coop.
Updates in the area operation were also presented by Area 1-Manager, Engr. Edgar M. Gatmaitan as well as matters related to energy laws and advocacies of the rural electrification program.
The SUKELCO BAPA Congress is part of the cooperative’s continuing effort to strengthen community participation and empower its MCOs as partners in rural development.
