SUKELCO successfully conducted a Product Launch and Technology Seminar on Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) on May 26, 2026 at the MCO Center, SUKELCO Headquarters, Kalandagan, Tacurong City, in partnership with Controtek Solutions, the cooperative’s system provider.
A total of 91 participants composed of representatives from various electric cooperatives and industry partners across Mindanao including Davao del Sur Electric Cooperative (DASURECO), Cotabato Electric Cooperative (COTELCO), Lanao del Norte Electric Cooperative (LANECO), South Cotabato I Electric Cooperative (SOCOTECO-1), South Cotabato II Electric Cooperative (SOCOTECO-2), and Maguindanao Electric Cooperative (MAGELCO), along with media partners or SMART.
The seminar was also attended by the SUKELCO Board of Directors and Management headed by Suraina M. Kalid and OIC-GM Wilfredo M. Evangelista PhD, who expressed their appreciation and support for the initiative, describing the event as another historic milestone in SUKELCO’s continuing modernization and operational advancement.
During the seminar, Alvin Rolda and Enrique Guanlao from Controtek Solutions emphasized the importance of SCADA technology in improving the efficiency, reliability, and real-time monitoring capabilities of electric distribution systems. They also introduced modern innovations and operational strategies aimed at enhancing power management and strengthening service delivery to member-consumer-owners.
Meanwhile, Engr. William Floro, Special Equipment and Substation Operation Division Supervisor, presented the key features of the SCADA system and conducted a live demonstration of the program, showcasing its operational capabilities and practical applications in electric cooperative operations.
SUKELCO likewise expressed its sincere gratitude to all participating electric cooperatives and media partners for their unwavering support and active participation in making the event a success.
