Representatives from SUKELCO attended the committee meeting at the Tacurong City SP Hall on May 25, 2026, in connection with the proposed ordinance enacting the Energy Code of the City of Tacurong.
The meeting was spearheaded by the Office of Hon. Raffy L. Lacson, Chairperson of the Committee on Power, Energy and Public Utilities, and focused on the creation and organization of the Energy Sector and Technical Working Committee that will assist in the formulation and implementation of the city’s proposed Energy Code.
The proposed ordinance aims to establish policies and standards that will encourage energy efficiency, conservation measures and environmentally responsible energy utilization across the city.
Hon. Raffy L. Lacson emphasized the importance of inter-agency cooperation and stakeholder participation in crafting responsive and future-ready energy policies that will contribute to the city’s long-term development goals.
The meeting concluded with discussions on the scope, responsibilities and next steps for the formulation of the Energy Code Ordinance.
