KALAMANSIG, Sultan Kudarat The 10 MVA Kalamansig Substation in Barangay Santa Maria was officially blessed and inaugurated today, marking Kalamansig’s transition from an off-grid power system to connection with the main power grid.
The event was attended by the SUKELCO Board of Directors, management team, employees, stakeholders and media partners.
The blessing was led by Rev. Fr. Jaime Bong Mentias, DCC, who offered prayers for the successful operation of the facility and the continued development of Kalamansig, Lebak, and parts of Palimbang.
The new substation will help meet increasing energy demands by improving power reliability and expanding electricity capacity in the area.
SUKELCO thanked government partners and the office of the House of Representative 2nd District of Sultan Kudarat, Cong. Bella Vanessa Suansing, Mega Power Inc, the official contractor, stakeholders and the local community for their support in making the project possible.
The inauguration highlights SUKELCO’s commitment to providing reliable, accessible, and sustainable energy to the communities it serves.
