SUKELCO successfully conducted a Tax Clarification Forum on June 25, 2026, at the MCO Building, SUKELCO Headquarters, Barangay Kalandagan, Tacurong City, aimed at enhancing tax compliance awareness among government offices, agencies and stakeholders.
The forum gathered a total of 188 participants, composed of 149 attendees present onsite and 39 participants who joined virtually, which focused on clarifying issues related to the proper issuance and reporting of BIR Form No. 2307 (Certificate of Creditable Tax Withheld at Source), including the computation of withholding taxes, timing of tax recognition and other tax compliance obligations applicable to government entities and institutions.
In his opening message SUKELCO OIC-General Manager Wilfredo M. Evangelista, PhD, emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue between the cooperative and concerned government agencies.
Serving as resource speakers were Ms. Jojelyn T. Paco and Mr. Doroteo O. Donguines, representatives from the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR), Revenue District Office No. 109. The speakers provided comprehensive discussions on relevant tax policies and procedures, while also addressing questions and concerns raised by participants during the open forum.
The event served as an important venue for collaboration and knowledge-sharing between SUKELCO, government agencies and tax authorities, promoting a better understanding of tax regulations and fostering compliance with government accounting and reporting standards.
